Bosnia
Wild rivers, untamed canyons, and unforgettable adventures in the heart of the Balkans.
Adventure Awaits
There are still places in the world where rivers run wild, mountains rise dramatically above ancient forests, and adventure feels a little less predictable. Bosnia and Herzegovina is one of those places.
Join Wyld Heart for an intimate, eight-day rafting expedition through the spectacular river canyons of the Balkans. We'll paddle turquoise waters, navigate exhilarating whitewater, sleep beneath the stars, and experience the warmth and hospitality of a region rich in history and culture.
At the heart of our journey is the legendary Tara River, carving its way through Europe's deepest canyon. Over three days, we'll travel downstream together, trading busy schedules and everyday distractions for the rhythm of the river.
This isn't just a rafting vacation. It's an opportunity to explore somewhere extraordinary, challenge yourself in new ways, and share an experience with a small group of fellow adventurers.
With just eight participants and two professional guides, this expedition is designed to feel personal, adventurous, and genuinely connected.

What Makes This Expedition Special?
Small Group, Big Adventure
With a maximum of eight guests, this is a personal expedition, not a crowded commercial tour. You'll have the opportunity to build genuine connections with your guides and fellow travelers.
A True Multi-Day River Experience
There's nothing quite like leaving the road behind and spending consecutive days traveling through a river canyon. The Tara offers the chance to experience expedition life in one of Europe's most extraordinary landscapes.
Adventure With Intention
At Wyld Heart, we believe adventure is about more than reaching the takeout. It's about curiosity, courage, connection, and discovering what's possible when you step outside your ordinary routine.

Founder
I’m Jess Lewis — river guide, coach, and founder of Wyld Heart. For over two decades, I’ve led teams and expeditions across Antarctica, Africa, South and Central America, and the American West. No matter the terrain, my work has always centered on one thing: helping people find courage and clarity in wild places.
I’m an American Canoe Association Instructor Trainer (Level 5 Raft) and a Level 4 Swiftwater Rescue Instructor, and I currently serve as Chair of the ACA Rafting Committee. I’m also AMGA-trained as a mountain guide, an avalanche instructor, and a Wilderness Medicine Instructor.
Along the way, I’ve founded nonprofits, taught at the university level, written as an author, and guided complex international expeditions.
Through Wyld Heart, I bring all of that experience together—mindset coaching, leadership training, and embodied resilience—to help people navigate challenges, lead with heart, and step into the biggest version of themselves.
